Did you feel inspired to write more during the past year? Did you have a creative response to lockdown, whether real or imagined?
This year we are inviting any style of writing that captures your Lockdown Reflections. This could be a poem or a short story (<300 words please), a letter or a limerick. It can be a factual account of the Coronavirus pandemic, or a fictional piece of creative writing inspired by your experiences.
Please submit as a Word document (.doc) or as a .pdf, we will be copying your text for display on a webpage.
Please email your writing entries to firstname.lastname@example.org
Don't forget to include the class number, WRSR in the email header, and include your name, and if you'd like, a brief description of your inspiration in the body text of your email. Children in years 7-11 incl. can enter this class as there is no KS3 Writing Class. Please ensure you include your age and school year with your entry.
Entries are FREE and you can enter as many times as you'd like - we just ask that each entry is made in a separate email and that everything entered has been written since March 2020.
We are hoping to collate entries into this year's Village Show into a permanent record of how the Coronavirus pandemic affected the lives of those connected to The Parish of Lydiard Millicent. If you do not want your work included in this project you can still enter the Show, but please let us know.
Depending on type and number of entries, this category may be split further.
